Tessa Morrison Completes Continuous Improvement Champion Certification

Hampford Research is proud to recognize Chemical Engineer Tessa Morrison as the latest company graduate of the CONNSTEP Continuous Improvement Champion Certification (CICC).

CONNSTEP is an acronym for the Connecticut State Technology Extension Program.

The organization is the official representative of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership, which is part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, a U.S. Department of Commerce agency. CONNSTEP’s mission is to strengthen manufacturing in the state by helping companies strategically grow their businesses and improve their operational methodologies.

A Continuous Improvement Champion Certification (CICC) equips leaders and managers with Lean and change management tools to drive organizational efficiency, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and remove operational barriers. These programs typically focus on strategic project selection, data-driven decision-making, and mentoring. CONNSTEP’s program gives participants the opportunity to choose and execute a project that improves efficiency and/or quality in their organization.

Tessa’s project highlighted identifying and implementing ways to improve the use of storage space in one of our warehouses.  Her efforts will improve efficiency, streamline material handling and reduce unnecessary inventory.

HRI has had over 20 team members graduate from CICC and we continue to invest in this valuable training.
