o Carboxy HABI- Water soluble, free radical photoinitiator with  low migration characteristics.  Patent Pending.

OPPI- Iodonium based photoacid generator offering high activity at ultra low concentrations, as well as unmatched heat stability.  Available with either antimonate or hexafluorophosphate counter ion.

Functional IR & Near IR Dyes
Cyanines   Synthesis of both intermediates and IR dyes. Dye's tailored for specific characteristics such as absorption spectrum and organic solvent or water solubility.

Phthalocyanines  Synthesis of building blocks and subsequent metal phthalocyanines to be used as pigments for inkjet, color filter, and CD/DVD applications.
Sensitizing Dyes - Condensation of aromatic amines with aldehydes to generate dyes that absorb from 400®C700 nm, i.e. the entire visible spectrum. Also used to expand the absorption range of photosensitive formulations for development of new applications.

Holographic Dyes - Condensation of aromatic amines with aldehydes, ketones and squaric acid to make specialized holographic dyes. Often used in conjunction with HRI high speed initiators.
Preservatives for personal care - Hampford Research is proud to offer high efficacy, environmentally friendly preservatives under the BarGuard ® tradename. BarGuard® preservatives are 100% active, broad spectrum anti-microbial/preservatives formulated for use in cosmetics and personal care products. Their unique, paraben and formaldehyde free formulation makes them ideal for both leave on as well as rinse off applications. BarGuard® preservatives maintain their efficacy over a wide pH range (4-10) as well as in more challenging applications such as sunscreens and protective lotions.

Hampford Research was founded in 1982 by Jack Hampford, a pioneer in the reactive monomer industry in the late 1960's and 1970's.
HRI currently offers two grades of Bis HEMA phosphate (CAS 32435-46-4).  A commercial grade that combines low cost with high activity, and an ultra high purity grade for the strictest applications.  Contact us for more information.
